Eco mod has year a 5 year contract to supply the National Ploughing Association, their exhibitors and visitors with mains toilet facilities and on-site accommodation units. The National Ploughing Championships is the biggest, yearly, agricultural event in Europe which attracts over 230,000 visitors to Ratheniska, Co. Laois annually.

Eco Mod and the Ploughing Association together design the facilities required to cope with the large crowds. Eco Mod ensures workable, hygienic, flushing toilets which are praised by many attending the event.

Eco Mod’s design team and the event’s waste-removal specialists provide large, 5,000 litre waste tanks which all connect to the toilet blocks leaving the National Ploughing Association to concentrate on their event.

Eco Mod also launched their new urinal buildings which require no water connections and are fully compliant with latest regulations. These buildings greatly reduce the demand for mains connected services. They are budget-friendly and will save on future water charges. This new product range will be marketed for all large, high-profile gatherings and for the benefit of other event organisers.

New, specially-designed platforms were manufactured for the quality Eco Mod units. Eco Mod worked on this in conjunction with the event insurers, FBD, the on-site, Health and Safety Officer, Jim Doyle, and facilities coordinator, John Burgess. These platforms were fully compliant with regulations and also allowed for excellent entry and exit ways enabling people management.

Anna May McHugh from the National Ploughing Association commented that it is vital that proper facilities are provided for the attendees, some of who travel quite a distance to the event and spend the whole day there. She explained that they are now attracting many overseas visitors and that they were proud of the facilities they provided to their guests through Eco Modular Buildings.

Eco Mod also supplied the VIP toilets for visiting, high-profile guests to the event. These facilities were also in service at the hosting of the European Presidency in Dublin Castle earlier in the year.

Malachy Menton from Eco Mod was delighted with the performance of his team who did a magnificent job for the Ploughing Association and the large gathering who attend the event yearly.
